MR> RB>Bit more lively than the 14.4 ... hey
MR> True but nowhere near as reliable. My old Zoltrix 14.4/14.4
MR> was _unbeatable_ from a fax point of view. Worked reliably with
MR> _all_ fax programs and never failed to negotiate a fax transfer nor
MR> fax receipt. I only wish the new Dynalink was half as good.
Remember the early days of 14400, most lines couldn't take that kind
of speed. But now the worst lines will handle 14400 rock solid.
I must agree with you on the faxing side of things.
My 14400 Sportster is the most reliable rock solid fax and data modem
I have ever owned.
MR> The other thing is that the Dynalink modem is inconsistent
MR> with its connects with an unacceptably high negotiation failure
MR> rate.
Just how far are you from your exchange, and what type of exchange are
you on , for that matter.
MR> Has anyone else had this problem and is there a solution. I
MR> have a pretty standard setup AT&F1&K0L1 - hardware handshaking with
MR> no compression and sound low (still at ear screeching level though
MR> :( )
