I wonder if a person with a gun in his car is ANY safer than one without.
If you aren't in the car or can't get to it .........

But how many people PLAN on going postal ? I hope that people wio are
likely to go postal would have broken some law in the past so they couldn't
carry anyway .

I can understand the Disney and Universal positions. I would expect their
parking to be cut off from the 'outside' world and they want to keep all
weapons outside . Personally I think anyone who carries a legal firearm
with permit SHOULD be allowed to carry it in their car at the minimum. In
rural areas it is common to go hunting before or after ( and sometimes
during) work. If they have secure parking why not have a gun check
at the gate. They could carry off property and the guns would be
unavailable on company property. of course it could increase the time to
get to or from work .
My former employer had a very strict policy on no firearms while on company
business. This would include going from home to an outside ( non company
owned ) site without EVER setting foot on company property. One of our
offices ( different division ) was built in a very bad section of
Baltimore. They had armed guards high fences with razor wire, but no
employee could carry a firearm and they KNEW this was a VERY BAD area.
Seems to me that allowing the gun in the car is a reasonable compromise.
See Gary we can partially agree on some things
