Please [tell him/her to] try excluding manually C000-EFFF area; using MS EMM386; using HIMEM only; disabling DPMS. More details on hardware configuration (mainboard, chipset, CPU, add-on cards, RAM size) could be helpful as well -- maybe someone has some experience with similar hardware?
