BBSing is as much as being part of a close-knit community as it is running
software.  I have made several lifelong friends through BBSing who I care
for a lot and enjoy interacting with (even though I've never met most of
them in person :).  I can also express my creativity through my BBS and
programming.

Let's put it this way: my wife and I are going to celebrate our seventh
wedding anniversary on the 28th (it's actually 29 Feb 2004) and we've been
together around 11 years now.  My wife has never known me NOT to run a BBS.
 Even when I tried to quit "cold turkey" I couldn't stand not
having a BBS to run.

I don't know if that shows loyalty or just obsession.
