Remember the arguments in sci fi mag editors and publishers re the two schools of thought. tHe Campbellian school was that all aliens must be humanoid, and then there were the guys such as edward e. (doc) SMith, Poul Anderson, others. I always saw the anti-Campbell camp as being more realistic . Re: star wars ...
