BB>PM>LK> What happens is some users connect at 28.8, and then the
BB>PM>LK>modem starts droping rate, until it reaches 300! At which
BB>PM>LK>points it just gets stuck there flasing 3 and the TR and OH
BB>PM>LK>lights are on.
BB>PM>LK> Anybody else gets this happening to them?
BB>PM> Only case of that I know of is when the carrier is really
BB>PM> lost to start with. Add S30=60 (ten minute time-out) or
BB>PM> some delay you like better), and it will not sit at 300bps
BB>PM> forever.
BB>Here is another report (from a user viewpoint) of this occurrence.
BB>When I connect, and this only occurs when I connect at 28.8, after a
BB>second or two, the display on the Sonic drops to 300 and then
BB>disconnects. If the negotiations result in a 24 or 26 T rate, all is
BB>fine. It only occurs when a 28.8 T connection is negotiated.
BB>I backed off to -16 Beta and all is OK again.
That could be a different problem...I wonder if just setting
S191=132 would have cured it with the -18 code?
