What do all these groups have in common?

They are Arabs.

But, in your view, capture and torture all of 'em since they are all
alike, right?

The US is supposed to be better than these disparate terrorist groups,
right?

But Bush and his goons decided "torture works," (when experienced
interrogators say it doen't,) and they already had their own conclusion:

"Saddam and Al-Qaeda are in cahoots."

Under torture, suspects "confessed" to the Saddam-Al Qaeda connection
Bush and Cheney wanted for their Benefit Contractors War in Iraq.
