I think I've seen that show.  I watch the series in the reruns at 
times.  

My daughter got me into watching _Darma and Greg_.  They have used 
a similar ploy in that show.  An old Indian character called George 
appears to Darma at times.  Not only is his character funny, he 
has the best esoteric lines.  

George is real in at least one show.  He "appears" in some 2 or 3 
more.  I've been scanning the blurbs to find those shows so I can 
tape them.  They are that good.  

He sort of reminds me of Iron Eyes Cody and Dan George.  

Come to think of it, he looks a bit like Dan George...  BTW, I 
can almost guarantee that you have at least seen both of them.
