From: "Phil Payne" > > "When you buy your next system from us, the guy advising you is being paid > > hamburger-flipping rates." I shouldn't denigrate hamburger flippers. I spent around nine weeks in a condo in Seven Corners, VA, working during the day in Vienna, VA. One day a colleague approached me with a request for help. His parents' burger bar was shorthanded - coud I flip burgers for an evening? It turned out to be two evenings - I still have the flipper, which is now a treasured possssion. It's not too strenuous a job at first, but when the peak hits it's manic. There's a whole parallel production line that turns to you every seven seconds and wants a cooked burger Right Here Now. Or you hold the pack, which holds the drive-thru, etc. At first I asked if I should cook some rare, some medium, etc. "It's called 'fast food'. It's eaten quicker than you cook it. With tomato sauce, pickles, onions and sometimes cheese - they won't ever taste it. And if they do, they're a mile down the highway and the next break in the median is seven miles." --- BBBS/NT v4.01 Flag-5* Origin: Barktopia BBS Site http://HarborWebs.com:8081 (1:379/45) SEEN-BY: 633/267 5030/786 @PATH: 379/45 1 633/267 |
