subject: Quicken 6 Online Updates

Original Message From CUSTODIAN To ALL...
CN>úHelp! So far, I have been unable to coax Q6 into downloading the
update(s).
CN>úseems to grab "stock price" updates ok, but nothing else. I have no other
CN>úobvious problem with my browser or isp. I've downloaded other files
(10meg,
CN>úeven!) from other places. I use a lan from my desktop.
If it wont grab an update, it probably indicates that you
currently have the latest version, which I believe is 6.0c...,
check Help|About to see which release you are running.

Original Message From RON WILDES To ALL...
RW>úI think I dimly remember that old DOS versions of Quicken allowed
RW>úone to assign the data files to a drive and directory of choice. I
RW>úhaven't found that option in the recent windows version but would
RW>úreally prefer to. Is this possible and if so, how? Thanks.
If the files are already created, simply move/copy them to the
location you prefer, then startup Quicken. Click on Files|Open,
and from the dialogue box, select the NEW location and file.
This should then become the default until you change the Open or
New selection to another location.
