Is yours a US/Canada version? (You can find out by doing an ATI7 command). MD> of the time, is the modem incorrectly interprets the ring sound for a MD> busy signal. At least that's what it looks like to me. I hear the MD> phone ringing through the modem's speaker, but my Comms package Try changing the result code from the default which is probably X4, to X2, and see if that fixes the problem. It did for me.
