Pete,
       thanks again for the reply.  I did try and install Windows again, but
only reinstalling over it.  I might have to try formating the hard drive, or
at least delete Windows first.  I did however delete MSWORKS and reinstall
that, and delete WINFAX and BITWARE and reinstall them both and still get
the same problems.  I will try deleting Windows and get back to you.

P.S. I originally didn't delete windows as i had heaps of stuff i didn't
want to lose, and couldn't be bothered moving them!  I will now go and slap
myself soundly about the head!!!
