Yes, sort of pot bellied hippie style, except more precision built and air
tight. Mine looks like the picture but with all stainless highly polished
piping. The pipe never gets above 120F, so they are quite efficient,
especially compared to a wood stove. On a cold january day, I'll burn about
a 5 gal bucket worth of coal to heat the whole house. At todays prices,
that's about $300 per year for heating. (compare that to gas or oil heat,
oil is currently running about $450 per MONTH and I don't even want to
think what gas costs)
