Agreed.  I used to run my own SMTP mail server at home for my domain name
for years.  I got tired of playing the cat and mouse game with the spammers
along with the fact that I had to relay my outbound mail through one of my
work's SMTP servers, since my home server was classified as not allowed to
send mail to most because I don't have a static IP.  

Once I saw Google Apps and I could bring my own domain name for free, I
pointed my MX record in DNS over to them, and that was it.  They handle the
spam and all that, and the interface is great!  My whole family has
accounts on it.
