|It sounds like he did that, then manually removed the Ubuntu folder, leaving |the orphaned boot menu item behind, then booted to the CD and installed again, |leaving a GRUB boot menu followed by a Windows boot menu with a non-functioning |Ubuntu choice. +-[AZ=>JG] Yes, that is correct! ;-) I am not the ubuntu wanabee, though... I run debian on my own machine, with no XP installed. I am installing ubuntu on someone else's PC as I think they might get the hang of it easier than debian proper. I might be wrong, though. I put debian on my Dad's PC, and he loves it.
