| Since Linux is no longer installed, the simplest thing to do is to boot
| from the XP install CD and choose the first repair option presented.
| That will take you into the Recovery Console where you can simply type in:

Actually, linux is installed, and grub is installed in the mbr.  I would
have thought that would have gotten rid of the Windows XP boot menu, but it
did not.  It must not be in the mbr.
