not your user name's watermark... the tosser's watermark... generally the first
message in the base unless a special file is set aside for the purpose... the
watermark message contains the message number of the highest message in the
base when the last scan was completed... it is a way to have scanning go faster
than scanning the entire base... sometimes the counter may get out of sync for
various reasons (eg: another message base maint tool purging and packing and
not updating the watermark due to format differences)...
