you asked people to participate in a study, of which many spammers ask
the same.  One way we know we are not dealing with another spammer is
that they have a ligit school address and or webpage, both of which
your school provides for free to it's students.

If you are who you say you are and yo are doing what you say you are
doing, then get on the ball and contact the school and set things up
correctly.  That way we can at least verify for ourselves that you are
ligit.

What makes you even more suspicious at this point is that you say that
these services are not provided when by simply typing find and the
name of your university we get the home page for the school and in
less than 3 clicks from there we have the form on our screens for a
student to submit to get a free email adress and webspace.

Do yourself and any students you know who solicit for help on the net
a favor and learn how to do this in a way that does not set off
everyone's scam alerts.  It is common practice for certain spammers
and low lifes to claim to be students in an attempt top gather
personal information on people especially on women and children.  If
you were not aware of this, you are now.
