I would place the blame squarely on Bush since he nominated her. Personally
I don't think she is qualified for the Court , I may not like Robert's
Politics but I do think he is qualified and should be a good Chief Justice.
I'd say that the CREDIT for rejecting a poor nominee would belong to those
who oppose her. Its for a lifetime post and the only thing that should be
considered is What is Best for the Nation, not that the GOP would get the
Blame for a failed nominee. IF she is confirmed and IF she turns out to be
a disaster then the GOP would and SHOULD get the blame, especially those
who voted for her because they were afraid the Party would get the blame
for a failed nominee.
