Yeah,  well,  there are only so many hours in a day.  And I spent way too
much time on this stuff in those days as it is.

Even now I spend a bit more than I should at it,  but volume is way down
from what it used to be,  and I haven't filtered stuff in ages.  Heck,  I
even figure I have the time for C_ECHO these days,  after not even having
looked at it for close to ten years.  Blame Andrew Clarke for that,  who
posted me some code in MUFFIN that I actually almost understood,  and
carried that discussion back to here...
