 Do you have any evidence he really said that? I see no evidence
 of that. Can't find a reference from Google. Sounds like an
 urban legend.

 America is not spending itself out of existance, it is selling
 itself out of existance. Our problem is high unemployment, low
 wages, free trade, tax avoidance, and most of all, war.

 Fix those things and the US becomes solvent and successful
 again.
