My BBS has been around since 1984 and was in multiple WWIV style networks.
I added Fidonet in the 90s as well once there was full support (mail
tossing) written by one of the old WWIV sysops (Craig Dooley).

I re-joined Fido just a few weeks ago.

Before Christmas, I decided to put time back into the system to get
everything running in a new fashion. VMware... One of my original growing
issues was my old P-133 system running OS/2 that ran all the nodes for the
BBS. A combination of imaging the BBS drives and creating Virtual Machines
with their data, I can now in effect run 16-bit apps under a 64-bit OS. No
more hardware restrictions for my BBS configuration, and I don't need an
additional server/workstation for the BBS.
