From: David Andrews
Subject: NFB Lists in Digest Form
Dear NFB-Talk, Blind Talk, and/or Blindlaw user:
I am pleased to be able to announce that the NFB-Talk, Blind
Talk, and Blindlaw mailing lists are now available in a digest
format. For those of you that don't know what this means, it
means that you will only get one message per day which contains
all of the individual messages from the NFB-Talk, Blind Talk, or
Blindlaw mailing lists strung together. Some people prefer this
presentation and we have had a number of requests for this
feature.
To use this feature, you will first want to unsubscribe from
the list which you want to switch. To do so, send a message to:
listserv@nfbnet.org
Leave the subject blank.
In the body of the message put
unsubscribe
the is the name of the list to which you now belong
and wish to switch. The list names are:
nfb-talk
blind-tlk
blindlaw
You can put multiple unsubscribe commands in one message.
Then you need to subscribe to the Digest(s) to which you want to
belong. You can put the subscribe commands in the same message
we described previously, or you can put them in a separate
message. If you do this, send the message to:
listserv@nfbnet.org
Leave the subject blank.
In the body of the message put
subscribe
The available names are:
nftalk-d for NFB-Talk
bltalk-d for Blind Talk
bllaw-d for Blindlaw
You will receive a message confirming your changes. It will also
have instructions on where to send messages to the list, how to
subscribe and unsubscribe, etc. Please save this message.
If you have any questions or problems, please write me at
david.andrews@nfbnet.org or Telnet to nfbnet.org and leave me a
message.
Good luck with the new lists.
David Andrews, List Owner and SysOp
p.s. We will be adding four new lists for the NFB's Human
Services Division in the next couple days. They will be for
1. rehabilitation professionals
2. social workers
3. counselors and therapists
4. clinical psychologists
Stay tuned for details.
