When "LOB" came out, I was quite the "Holy Roller" but
still enjoyed the movie 
as I "got" the joke.  Actually, it's fairly historically
accurate, as the times 
were calling for a messiah of some sort, political or otherwise.  Brian's 
"disciples" just got it wrong, that's all.

Nothing offensive at all about it, really.  Well, /maybe/  the "Full
Monty" 
shot.....
