  Hello Barry
  Don't know if this qualifies as the "Easiest" way but what I do is click on
  Format->Style->Modify->Format->Font and click on the size.  Click on OK 
hen
  make sure you select "Add to TEmplate" at the bottom of the Modify Style
  dialog box. select OK then Apply and now normal.dot will be permanently
  modified. I don't know if you can do this with page numbering. Maybe a
  macro.
