      I'm sure that's part of the reason.   I think mainly they don't want
      any hassles and have observed that the democratic process is messy
      and full of hassles.   Anyway they own the hardware.   Why should
      they extend rights to anyone ?   They have nothing to gain and
      everything to lose with democracy.
