I tested DOSBOX - and do like it, however had problems with the telnet/modem emulation. It echos all characters typed on my system. Basically, double characters for every keystroke. I even used the INIT string to turn that off, but it still does it. Interesting enough, when I am in my BBS full screen editor, it doesn't do it. Only on the BBS itself. The other issue with the telnet/modem emulation in DOSBOX is there is no telnet server to push the inbound tcp/23 to the various BBS instances. I'm a bit limited since my system needs real com ports, not fossil aware. The only emulators that work great are NetSerial and the OS/2 SIO/VMODEM drivers. Maybe down the road if DOSBOX's telnet emulation matures, I'll be able to use that as an option. - Mark --- WWIVToss v.1.40 Registered* Origin: http://www.weather-station.org * Bel Air, MD -USA (1:261/1304.0) SEEN-BY: 3/0 633/267 640/954 712/0 313 550 620 848 @PATH: 261/1304 266/512 140/1 261/38 712/848 633/267 |
