I've never bought OTP devices. But it's the LE> same device in a different case. OTP is plastic molded, at a packaging cost of a cent or two. Erasable is in Ceramic case, with Quartz window, at packaging cost of over a dollar - both to the IC manufacturer. Multiply by the usual markup percentages, and you get the message. When and if it finally happens in the correct form factors and price range, flash chips will blow EPROM away like they never were, just driven by economics. Nobody likes OTP.
