No, when I was testing NetSerial, my goal was to no longer use my OS/2 VM. My biggest problems with OS/2 at the time was getting it to not crash when I had moved my BBS data from OS/2, to my W2K8 server. I was getting JFS trap abends. Long story short, I moved the data back to OS/2, stopped the remote map, and not map from the W2K8 to the OS/2 VM using Samba shares. Doing it that way doesn't cause random crashes, and works. I use VMODEM and SIO drivers on my OS/2 VM now. I have used those almost since the day Raymond Gwinn released them.. :) It works solid as a rock. I just was looking at potential ways to not use OS/2. My BBS however doesn't like running in Windows XP, so I'm keeping OS/2. The only thing that runs the BBS better as far as compatibility with doors, etc, is DOSBOX. It runs all my doors with no problem. Too bad I can't use it under OS/2 somehow. - Mark --- WWIVToss v.1.40 Registered* Origin: http://www.weather-station.org * Bel Air, MD -USA (1:261/1304.0) SEEN-BY: 3/0 633/267 640/954 712/0 313 550 620 848 @PATH: 261/1304 266/512 140/1 261/38 712/848 633/267 |
