If you think that/know tthat itt is a cirrus logic based it is a great
possibilty that it is a Dyna Link modem....

I personally once had trouble witth my Dyna Link modem, but afer changing
the control string to ciirrus logic base  have had now more such
trouble!!!!

I also have logged onto the N E T.......Very Impressive!

.......But very expensive......

It would be wse to choose a proven but cheap provider!
OzEmail s very good but expensive.....
You can get discounted rates if you use it alot.

It also would be wise to get a fast modem but remember that over long
distances the rate ....say a 2800 modem would only transfer or recieve data
at around the 1414 modem rate due to the lines can not handle the data.

But if you liive close to your local provider ( no STD rates) all and well.
