Yes, that URL does work here. :-)

I was looking at the HTML code for one snippet of code and
noticed that the "Download" button had the name of the snippet
as the "alt" tag. For those who do not see the graphic the
"alt=download" would be more useful. ;-)

The "alt" tag is, apparently, a dual-use tag that was probably
put into the HTML coding for text-only browsers which did not
'see' the text within a graphic but is now considered an
accomodation for the 'Section 508 Americans with Disabilities'
requirement (law) for those who use screen readers while
browsing the WWW on government websites.

My interest is somewhat self-serving in that my own eyesight is
failing rapidly but you can test pages for 'certification' one
at a time and get more information about how "alt" tags should
be used here:

http://bobby.watchfire.com/bobby/html/en/index.jsp

Bobby is not a 'new' website and is sponsored by IBM which
would indicate they are serious and productive in their
efforts. Don't feel bad about pages that do not 'certify'. I
don't think I ever did get any of my pages to certify using
Bobby's standards but it did point me in the right direction to
make my pages more accessible than they had been.

While viewing "http://snippets.org/mailman/listinfo/c" I
noticed that the three graphics for your sponsors are not
displaying at the bottom of the page.
