| subject: | Re: Problems w/samba server |
| If you can access everything as guest/smbguest, it's a username thang. | I don't know if there's something that can be added to Win9x to pass | that along. Or maybe it's just been far too long since I even thought | about such stuff, not to mention use Win9x... +-[JG=>MP] Thanks! There was actually a samba setting that I was able to change which allowed the Win9x box to access the shares: client lanman auth = Yes lanman auth = Yes Actually, I am not sure the first one is necessary (or even does anything), but that was how I found it when I goggled the problem. The page I found it on said to only do this if necessary as it does relax the security on samba. Now if I could only get the OS/2 box to recognize the samba server again. ;) Mike ##MMR 2.61(beta). !link JG 04-18-09 14:10 --- GTMail 1.26* Origin: Capitol City Online * 502/875-8938 * cco.ath.cx (1:2320/105.0) SEEN-BY: 10/1 3 14/250 34/999 53/558 120/228 123/500 128/2 140/1 222/2 226/0 SEEN-BY: 249/303 250/306 261/20 38 100 1381 1404 1406 1410 1418 266/1413 SEEN-BY: 280/1027 320/119 393/68 396/45 633/104 260 267 640/954 690/682 734 SEEN-BY: 712/0 313 848 800/432 801/161 189 2222/700 2320/100 105 200 303 SEEN-BY: 2905/0 @PATH: 2320/105 261/38 633/260 712/848 633/267 |
