Well if WWIV can be fed mail via SMTP, all you need to do is point 
fetchmail at the WWIV SMTP port. The point is that you don't need
to open this port to the wider internet, this all happens on your
"inside" network, if you will. This is the configuartion that I
use fetchmail to feed a bunch of Unix systems, OpenVMS boxes, 
Synchronet and most recently a BBS software I've developed myself.
