I figured out where to clip on to the various chips and tried getting a 
picture from the card.  Plugged in a NEC Multisync 3d, which usually can sync 
to just about anything.  All I get is a quick blue flash on power up, then 
nothing.  I think it's getting a sync signal (sounds like it, anyway), but no 
raster.  I'm using a home-made adapter wired to bridge an IBM EGA 9-pin video 
connector to the HD-15 on the NEC.  It works for, e.g. a Commodore 128, but 
it's possible that's not entirely correct for the Apple card.

If this is intended to emulate the Apple digital RGB monitor, does anyone know 
the specs for that unit?  I can find a fair amount of discussion using Google, 
but nothing that really comes out and explains the signal format it expects.

Since the Telemax card has no ROM, is it safe to assume that the slot doesn't 
matter?  I tried 7 and 3 with no success.

It's odd that no one has heard of this, given the number of collectors on the 
newsgroup.
