Not to worry, I originally misinterpreted the problem as being related to the
demise of the BBS that originated the echo, the San Francisco PCUG BBS, but
the problem was really that the "Moderator's Update" to the echo, due once
every six months, had never been recieved by the FIDO powers-that-be. I have
since sent in the update, as of 27 March 1995, so we should be fine again
until June, when the next update is due.
I have begun using the Diablo Valley PCUG BBS, originally intending to do so
only until the SFPCUG BBS was back on-line, but it appears that that BBS will
never return. I hate to spend money on an annual BBS membership and then
have the board disappear less than six months later, so I will remain on the
DVPCUG BBS for the forseeable future. Lance Leonard is still the
co-Moderator, but he is currently busy hunting a new job since the last round
of layoffs at BI, so he might not be as active as he has been on the echo, at
least for awhile. Too bad, too, since it was nice to have the Associate
Product Manager for Pdox as a contributing echo member.
We appear to be in fine shape now, so rest easy.
