Other then the format and whether one archives or not, then there is no
difference.  The advantage to pointing is if one is considering setting up
something further then offlining as there is no real difference between a
point and a node.  If offlining is all one wishes then I'd give the
advantage to the more traditional offline door method.  The nice thing
about all methods is that not much has changed and it can work without
jumping through too many hoops.  Also there is really little need to
upgrade no matter what the reasons or method employed.  This has been a
safe way to do things over the years and years it has been going on.

Heh, heh.  That is quite normal.  Obviously you taught yourself well.

Always a good way too.  Also that method makes ALL this more community
minded which I think is sort of the point of Fido messaging, echoes etc.
although every once and awhile things can and do get a little hairy.  Mind
you that can be fun too ... at times.  It's all about balance eh?
