I've just not ever felt like I needed to leave the BBS world.  :)  I get
the occasional chance to look over someone else's shoulder (lots of my
extended family are actively internet), and that's been sufficient for
me.  :)  I don't try to dissuade them from their IM'ing and Facebook,
etc, and other than talking up BBS'ing, I realize they have their world,
I have mine... ;)  I'm a country type in the city... and found little
pockets of community in the city, too..  :)
