**************************** EURO-TX 2.0 *****************************
EURO-TX is THE ShortWave Broadcast Transmissions to EUROPE database
for Radio Listening Amateurs.
The EURO-TX programme contains information on shortwave broadcasts to
EUROPE in various languages (Danish, Dutch, English, Esperanto,
Finnish, French, German, Greek, Icelandic, Italian, Norwegian,
Portuguese, Russian, Spanish and Swedish).
With the programme you can make complete sorted listings in country,
language, station and/or transmission-time order; just choose the
appropriate settings and the programme will display the list in any
way you want.
A comprehensive search option is available to search for whatever you
like; a station, country, frequency or transmission time.
Furthermore it is also possible to display an ITU country list (237
records), a stations address list, a stations Internet address list,
a HF-bands list, a UTC time table (237 records) and a DX-programme
list.
At the moment the database contains transmission details of 127
stations in 76 countries. The address lists contain 69 Internet
addresses and 147 'normal' addresses. Finally, transmission
times/days of 36 different DX-programmes are available.
The Main Database Table has 1141 records (variable, due to daily
updates) in which Country, Station, Transmission Time, Language,
Frequencies and Remarks are listed. All data can be displayed on
screen as well as on a printer.
* NOTE: It is NOT possible to change any of the data in the database
but you will receive the LATEST available database-file (updated on
a DAILY bases with information from many well-known sources, of
which much info comes directly from the stations themselfes), with
the registered version of the software.
(# SEE ALSO REGISTRATION BENEFITS).
HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS:
Computer: IBM-compatible AT(tm) 386, 486 or Pentium
Diskdrive: 1.44 MB (3,5"). Programme is distributed on a
single 1.44 MB floppy. Harddisk space for
needed installing EURO-TX is about 2.5 MB.
Memory (extended): 4 MB or more ...
Operating system: Windows 3.1/3.11 or Windows '95 (+ mouse).
Perhaps the programme will also work with
Windows 3.0 but I have not been able to test it
Monitor: (S)VGA (640*480 or better ...).
Recommended hardware: 486 or Pentium, 4 MB (or more) Extended Memory
and a (S)VGA (640*480) monitor.
NOTES:
The programme was tested on a 386 40MHz, a 486DX2 66MHz and a Pentium
75MHz computer and a colour (S)VGA monitor in various resolutions.
It might also work using other screen types (as yet, has not been
tested).
Printing the data was tested on DeskJet and LaserJet printers which
gave no problems; it was also tested on a standard matrix printer
with no problems, though printing was very, very slow .... The
programme can be used to print data but it should be used primarily
to display the data directly to the screen and not to a printer.
The programme is NOT SOLD/DISTRIBUTED in the months of MARCH and
OCTOBER, due to the many changes which will be implemented by many
radio stations at the end of these months. These months are used to
completely update all data in the database. Other changes will be
implemented on a DAILY bases.
