That too, as well as ones that cannot display beyond 80 characters if it
lacks the at the end of every line. I used to filter
messages for those particular people way back when. Sort of acted as a
go-between for them and the rest of the "world" back in my DOS
serial programming daze. I've seen a few of them still around here and
there but not in Fido. I guess they decided to go their own way. I've
heard rumours of them still modeming between each other as recently as a
few years ago in this neck of the woods. Just a rumour though as I haven't
owned a regular serial modem for quite some time now. I don't miss any of
that.

Understood. Easy to fix though but then it requires a go-between. I ran
into some code for a gps unit just the other day that still does that
though. I was amused and it reminded me of the "good ol' days".
:::shudder:::

Wellllllll ... let's not go too far back. The one I am currently using is
a 15" SVGA monitor but I have it set to 83 columns as it works out
perfectly with these fonts (sun12x22). I can see them without having to
lean and squint too close to the monitor.

Life is good,
Maurice
