You have not stated what models they were and what problems you had.. Oh
that modem is crap will not suffice and accomplishes nothing.

Once again you have not included what the problem was, nor have you
included any attempt to contact Netcomm tech support.. (mind you Netcomm
Tech support in Sydney is probably as helpful as Dynalink but still).. Some
of their modems I must admit were of low quality, but such modems as the
Roadster, Smartmodem M34F, Smartmodem M11F, 288, Automodem E7F I have
played around with and have had no problems whatsoever.
