KDevelop is an IDE similar to the ones you are probably used to. It has a GUI app generator that will create SDI and MDI apps to jump-start your development. It has a code editor, so you don't need to use vi or emacs. You are never stuck with a choice between vi and emacs. An editor that is popular with folks moving from M$ is nedit. I like an editor called jed... and another one called joe. Both are friendly to folks who are familear with editors like DOS' edit and qedit. -Roger --- Spinone v0.1.79 Win32* Origin: Scudder's Point (1:261/38.11) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 261/38 123/500 106/2000 633/267 |
