CD> Hi Ivy!
Hi, Charles;
CD> Also it wouldn't get so small that you almost couldn't feel it in
CD> your hand and then spread out again creaseless like a liquid..and
CD> you could definitely cut the rubber with tin foil type covering if you
CD> tried.
II> Very true! Some of the plastic films they have today are virtually
II> un-tearable, but they can still be cut easily. (Though I think they
II> are trying to make a plastic film for packaging food that takes an
II> incendiary device or an atomic weapon to open a bag made of the
II> stuff!) :-<
CD> Oh yeah they have this sliced salami package where the package is
CD> about the same width as a super thin slice of salami and that's
CD> completely nerve racking to try to open,
You mean the ones with the clear top and the red bottom? Those are
easy - All you need to do is separate the two at the tab, take out what
you want and press them together again for an air-tight seal.
CD> or even better the weird way
CD> they package some walkmen now where you need scissors to get through
CD> the tons of useless hard plastic.
Not just walkmans... they are packaging all kinds of consumer products
in that crap these days. I have had good success with small sissors with
a VERY sharp point on one blade. A VERY sharp knife usually works also,
but you have to be careful to cut ONLY the wrap, not the product or
yourself! (Example: just TRY getting a smoke detector or CO2 detector
out of it's plastic prison!)
II> And it was under armed guard all the way!
CD> Well back in 1947 they must have taken their weather balloons very
CD> seriously :)
II> Ya, right! Of course, if it was... lessee, what's the o-fishy
II> explaination today? Oh yes, if it was a really a super-secret Mogul
II> baloon, they might feel justified in heavy security... but if it were
II> from "somewhere else," they would DEFINATELY want to keep prying eyes
II> away and flapping mouths shut, which is basically what happened.
CD> Well why would they protect Mogul THAT much, they didn't want people
CD> to see a big balloon and some reflector stuff...oh yes and crash test
CD> dummies from 1953..can't let those wacky crash test dummies from 6
CD> years in the future be seen :)
RIGHT! Didn't you know that the old TV show, "The Time Tunnel" was about
a real military project?
Catch you later... Keep l00king up!
Ivy
... Its just conventional science to the aliens that create them.
