You might want to remove the S108=2 and the S37=15 from the string.
S37=15 doesn't really accomplish anything as it's telling the modem to
start negotiating for carrier at 28,800 bit/s (which it would do
anyway). Also you would typically begin the init string with the "AT"
command &F. If you are having problems maintaining a connection, you
might lower the maximum carrier determined by the S37 value. For
instance, adding S37=34 to the init string instructs the modem to
initiate a carrier at no higher than 26,400 bit/s. S37=29 sets the
maximum initial carrier to 24,000 bit/s. A lower initial carrier speed
may make a more reliable connection under some conditions, and the
modem can still renegotiate to a higher carrier during the session if
the conditions allow it.
