      You may or may not actually have to change anything there (except
perhaps the changelog); depends on the package you're working on.  I'll
often just try a build, to see how it goes...

      For a binary package build (especially, test builds), I usually run
debuild (from the devscripts package) in the package directory like so:

debuild --no-lintian -rfakeroot -ejame{at}rocasa.org  -us -uc -b

----------------------------------------------------------

      That leaves a *.build log in the next directory up, and the package
files if the build is successful.  (You can use "dpkg -i" to install the
package...)  If the build isn't successful, check through the build log to
see what happened...
