I've always wondered what Bush supporters made of the January 2003
Knight-Ridder survey that showed 50% of Americans believing that some or
all of the 9/11 hijackers had been Iraqi.

The Bush-hating, Saddam-loving Liberal Mainstream Media would hardly have
wanted to foster that belief... so where had it come from?

It's weird... almost as if influential public figures had spent the
previous four months in speeches, columns, and talk-show appearances,
hammering at the same points over and over -- "9/11... danger...
Iraq"
-- so effectively that they overshot the mark.
