From: Ellen K. Personally I think the fact that California is so left is the combination of Hollywood, San Francisco, and the huge number of government employees. I work in a Hispanic company and I think there is a larger percentage of Republicans there than at the "white" company where I formerly worked. (Not to mention Kaiser where a lot of the people are really socialist!) Hispanic social values are much more in line with Republicans.
