Many thanks for this report Jo, very interesting.
BTW: I do advise  you to make use of rodent.sys. It's a mouse-add-on system, 
wich makes living with the mouse much easier. In any event, you'll be able to 
set your mouse at 600 DPI, and that makes the cursermovements go very smooth. 
I do have here a Logitech Mouseman Cordless Pro, three buttons,  no wheel, 
and set as PS/2.
Rodent.sys even enables the PS2 to use the third button. The third button 
emulates the CTRL-ESCAPE here. Very handy, you should try it.
