FC>Can anyone tell me why my Spider Plant is getting black at the tips, even
FC>the new leaves?
Funny thing - we were just wondering about that on our local BBS. I
live quite a bit further north, and we are still very much in the
grip of winter here. The heating is working full time (more or less)
and my guess is the somewhat low humidity in heated houses might be
contributing to the drying out of the tips of the leaves. If you
have a low humidity problem (roughly less than 45%), perhaps a daily
water misting with a pistol grip would help a little.
I don't know for certain if thats the cause of the problem - but it
was our best guess. None of the other plants growing here are
affected in that manner - just the spider plants.
