Litter and pollutution is destroying our environment. As fisher persons,
we must be proactive in the fight against litter and pollution, especially
in and around our water resources, if we expect to continue to enjoy our
fishing and other resources. Littering and polluting is not just unsightly,
it is illegal, and is destroying our natural resources. Littering and
polluting is legally, ethicaly, morally, and ecologically WRONG!
 
I challenge each of you to individually participate in the clean-up of our
water resources and to take steps to prevent pollution of the same.
 
   Do not litter and at least clean-up after yourself while in the outdoors.
 
   Dispose of trash properly.
 
   When you leave a fishing or other outdoor site, leave only footprints.
 
   Carry a trashbag with you and use and dispose of it properly!
 
   Speak to others you see who are littering and try to convince them to
   stop and clean-up after themselves and dispose of trash properly.
 
   Report people who litter and pollute to the authorites.
 
   Clean-up the trash left by others and dispose of it properly.
 
   Encourage others to clean-up after themselves and others and to dispose
   of trash properly.
 
   Help organize or participate in local and regional clean-up efforts.
 
   Let your elected officials know that these issues are important to you.
 
 
Remember, the earth does not belong to us, rather, we belong to the earth.
