If you're worthless, then so am I, the president and newsletter editor of one
of my user groups (who has an ST in addition to his 8-bit and his DOS
machine), the sysop of our BBS (same thing), and many more with whom I'm in
contact on at least a weekly basis. I can also have the use of a PowerBook
any time I need it.
To be fair, there are also many people (an entire other user group full of
them, for example) who've never felt the need to go beyond their 8-bits. I
wouldn't consider them children, worthless or otherwise. In fact, that user
group's average age is somewhere in excess of 50 and what those guys produce
is fantastic.
The fact is, we know a fair price for hardware when we see it.
